Police Arrest Two Over N2.7 million Worth of Stolen Drinks
The Ogun State Police Command in Shagamu has arrested two suspected members of a robbery gang, who allegedly hijacked a truck-load of beer valued at N2.7 million, have been arrested been arrested and are in custody.

The truck, with number plates LEW 615 XA, was said to leave Ilesha, Osun State, to make a delivery around Iragbiri area of Osun state.
Midway into the journey, three armed men intercepted the truck and diverted the goods elsewhere.
Ahmed Iliyasu, the command’s boss, stated that they were able determine that the vehicle was heading towards Shagamu with the aid of its tracking device.
He also said, “on the strength of the distress call, the Area Commander of Shagamu, Ibrahim Muhammad, quickly put all patrol teams around the area on red alert, to be on lookout for the truck and the armed men.”
The suspect, identified as Saheed Omotosho, revealed that the product had indeed been delivered to a receiver whose name he gave as Adijat Azeez, at Ode-Remo, Ogun State.
The receiver was eventually arrested, while the stolen goods were recovered in a warehouse.
The suspects have since been in the custody of the Special Anti Robbery Squad (SARS) of the police force.
Iliyasu also urged the public to report any case of crime to the police, as he promised that they would get a swift response
