Top 10 Best Dressed Ladies At The Oscars 2018
The 2018 Academy awards held at the Dolby Theatre at Hollywood & Highland Center on March 4 and were telecast live on ABC.
This time around, our stars decided to go all-out, compared to what they wore on the other red carpet award shows where they all wore black to support ‘Time’s Up’ and it’s fight against sexual harassment and workplace inequality.
The red carpet was indeed very colourful, with stars wearing statement dresses, brightly coloured dresses and sparkly dresses. Here are our favourites:
1. Taraji . P . Henson
Henson brought sex appeal to the carpet with a custom Vera Wang gown with an ultra-high slit. She then topped up the look with Jimmy Choo sandals and Roberto Coin jewels. Her rich plum lipstick was the perfect smoldering complement to the daring dress.
2. Jennifer Garner
Garner wore a cobalt Atelier Versace gown. Between the bright hue, sweeping cape and sexy silhouette there was no missing her entrance. And I loved how her side-swept wavy blowout and diamond-and-sapphire Piaget drop earrings.
3. Lupita Nyong’o
Lupita, who was dressed in gold-and-black Atelier Versace gown was regal, striking and spectacular, and her makeup and hairstyle was flawless. She was looking so royal, it made us start wondering if she’s truly the Queen of Wakanda.
4. Whoopi Goldberg
As we all know, Goldberg will rather choose comfort to style when picking an outfit, and the Oscars 2018 was no exception. The 62-year-old actress and TV host walked the red carpet at the event on a full-skirted floral gown which had pockets, it was made by Christain Siriano with combat boots, black circular shades, and an assortment of jewelry.
5. Margot Robbie
The I, Tonya actress was dressed in a white Chanel Haute Couture gown, with beaded straps draped off her shoulders, which gave her a unique touch to the simple gown. Also, her freshly chopped bob styled in effortless, soft waves accentuated her look.
6. Sandra Bullock
After staying 4-years away from the Oscars red carpet, Sandra Bullock decided to make her come-back with a bang. The actress wore a Louis Vuitton shimmering high-neck gold and black dress.
7. Zendaya Coleman
She wore a regal Giambattista Valli dress, Italian Jeweler’s Heritage art deco earrings in platinum and diamond along with three platinum bracelets and two platinum and diamond ring. Her hair was styled in an elegant bun and was wearing custom-dyed satin KARIN sandals by Brian Atwood.
8. Eiza Gonzalez
Eiza walked on the red carpet, in a bright canary on-trend yellow gown by Ralph Lauren Collection. She was one of those actresses that got their dresses straight outer the runway. The gown made her look simple, but chic and confident.
9. Gal Gadot
Gal’s silver sequin Givenchy Haute Couture dress was something no one could miss. Between the deep v-cut neckline that made way for her Tiffany & Co Blue Book jewels, the glistening fringe bottom and the mix of textures, every detail was better than the last.
10. Nicole Kidman
Nicole decided to grace her presence on the Oscars red carpet, with a blue Armani Privé gown. The vivd blue hue is stunning and the fit of this sculptural dress is impeccable. We just love everything about this look, from the sweetheart neckline and oversized bow.
